Valentin Wember, PhD, attended the Waldorf School in Krefeld, Germany. He studied philosophy, literature, music and science of education in Hamburg, Berlin and Stuttgart. In 1984, he did his doctorate under Karl Robert Mandelkow. 

For 30 years, Wember worked with great conviction and enthusiasm as a Waldorf teacher in Stuttgart and Tübingen. He also worked in teacher training in the USA, Switzerland, Korea and Germany. 

In the ‘90s, following a suggestion made by Jörgen Smit (1916-1991), he published several books on youth anthroposophy, among which were “The Will to be Free” (1991) and “The Power of Unterstanding” (1993). 

Along with being a Waldorf teacher, Wember has worked for many years in organization development, e.g. for a large South-German trade association, with the emphasis on forms of management and change management. 

Since publication of the book “Wille zur Verantwortung” (2012), Engl. „Sole Responsibility“(2014). Valentin Wember has worked in various Waldorf Schools as an organization developer. In 2014 he published „Willenserziehung“ („How to 

Educate the Willing-forces. 60 Methods given by Rudolf Steiner.“)

Valentín Wember fue alumno Waldorf de la escuela Waldorf de Krefeld. Estudió filosofía, ciencias literarias, música y pedagogía en Hamburgo, Berlín y Stuttgart. En 1984 hizo su doctorado con Karl Robert Mandelkow. 

Durante 30 años trabajó por convicción y con entusiasmo como maestro Waldorf en Stuttgart y Tübingen. Ha trabajado como docente en la formación de maestros de EEUU, Corea del sur, Suiza y Alemannin. 

Por sugerencia de Jörgen Smit (1916-1991), antiguo director de la Sección de Juventud, publicó diversos libros sobre la antroposofía para jóvenes, entre otros, “Vom Willen zu Freiheit” (1991) (Sobre la voluntad de ser libres), “Von der Kraft des Verstehens” (1993) (Sobre la fuerza de la comprensión), “Wiederverkörperung“(1996) (Reencarnación).

Junto a su actividad como maestro Waldorf, Valentín Wember trabajó muchos años como consejero de organizaciones, entre otras, para una gran asociación profesional del sur de Alemania cuyos temas principales eran “motivación de los trabajadores” y “change-management”. 

Desde la publicación del libro “Wille zur Verantwortung” (2012) (Voluntad de ser responsable) sobre cuestiones de la dirección escolar, Valentín Wember trabaja en diversas escuelas Waldorf como consejero de organizaciones. 

En 2014 publicó “Willenserziehung” (Educación de la voluntad) como primer tomo de una nueva serie que recopila y explica los métodos pedagógicos del arte de educar de Rudolf Steiner.
